Konica Minolta ID and Print

Greg Grilliot - Blog

Original Article:

This the first in a series about ID & Print a feature that is on the Konica Minolta Mfps.  The whole premise of this feature is to combine User Authentication and secure printing into one.  The idea is that when you Authenticate at the Mfp that your print jobs that are stored securely on the Konica Minolta will print out when you enter your login information.  I am going to go through the retrieval process first and it seems like the cart before the horse but I think its the best part when you Login at the Konica Minolta and out come your print jobs.
Once the Konica Minolta Mfp has been setup for User Authentication and you have sent print jobs to your ID & Print Box, this is the screen that you will see on the Mfp.

You have three options Begin Printing which means you enter your login information and hit Begin Printing and all your print jobs will print out.  Print & Login will print your jobs and log you into the Mfp so if you have copying or scanning to do you are already logged in.  The last one is Login which will access the Mfp if you want to copy, scan, fax or access your ID & Print Box so that you can choose what print jobs you want to print out or just delete.  To access the ID & Print Box you Login and then touch the User Box Key.   Under the System User Box Tab you will find the ID & Print Box in this Box you will find your print jobs.

Once you access your Box you will see Thumbnail images of your print jobs and from there you highlight the print job that you want then select print.  You have some other filing options available on the screen that shows your print jobs but my main focus is on printing or deleting them.

The next screen you can select print and delete or just delete your jobs.

This is the end of this part of the ID & Print feature of how to retrieve your print jobs.  Next post will be how to setup the Konica Minolta print driver to send the print job as an ID & Print job.
